Library Services for Students

This guide explains the library services available to on-campus, online learning, dual-credit and university center students.


What technology is available for students in the library? 

Hardware includes:

  • Webcams (available for both long-term and library-use only checkouts)
  • 2 Copiers
  • 1 Color printer 
  • 5 B&W printers
  • 3 scanners (Student Kiosk Area)
  • 1 wheelchair accessible computer
  • iPhone and Android phone chargers
  • 5 study rooms (1 computer per room)
  • 1 Microfilm/Microfiche Reader Machine
  • Free fax sent electronically by Circulation staff (Circulation desk)
  • 68 distance-spaced, student-use computers (open lab area, study rooms, printing kiosk area)

  • Magnifier
  • Adobe Reader
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Windows Media Player
  • Respondus Lockdown Browser

Specialized Software:

  • MuseScore 3
  • ISE Design Suite
  • Civil 3D 2019 Metric

  • Adobe Master Collection CS6 
  • Natural Reader (text-to-speech software with natural sounding voices) installed on study room computers #1-#5 and the wheelchair accessible computer.

Other Technology:

  • MCC offers Wireless Internet Access to currently enrolled students for their personal digital devices.
  • 1 patron print-card machine for purchasing a print card and adding funds to the Highlander OneCard and Patron cards for printing.


Register your email:

With Mobile Print, you will be able to email the document you want to print from any device. After that, you will be able to print to the Library Color Printer. To register and use Pharos Mobile Print, you must first follow the easy steps below. Note: You can currently only use this service on campus, while on the MCC network.

Mobile Print Instructions:

(Your student ID card is required for printing.)

  1. Attach and send your B&W document to or your color documents to
  2. Check your inbox for a reply and the computer-generated document name
  3. Retrieve your document from Color Printer-6 in the Open Access Computer Area in the Library

*The Color Printer deducts 8 cents per page for Black & White prints and 39 cents per page for color prints. Money must be added to your Highlander OneCard at the Business Office on campus.
