Library Services for Students

This guide explains the library services available to on-campus, online learning, dual-credit and university center students.

Welcome!

The information on this page is related to library services and resources for online students, although it also lists collections that are available to all students.  You can also find library information in the Brightspace Orientation Course (SUPOR) in which all MCC online students are enrolled.

Online Resources Available 24/7

We have access to over 120 research databases that are available off-campus at any time. Please follow us on Instagram or Twitter (@mcc_lib) to keep up to date on any library news regarding our online resources.

University Center students cannot access MCC databases off campus.  You will need to contact your university's library to access online resources off campus.

Research Help

You can obtain help from the library using our collection of research guides covering subject, assignments and types of information.  Additionally, we have two resources to help you get started on building your research skills in information literacy.  Finally, you can contact the library with your questions in a variety of ways.

Interlibrary Loan

Online students can request email delivery of interlibrary loan articles using the request form.

If you need a physical book from another library and live outside of the MCC area, please contact your local public library to request interlibrary loan books.

If you live within the MCC service area, once we are back at the MCC campus, you will be able to request ILL books using our online form and be requested to visit the MCC campus to pick up your item.
