World History Journals and Periodicals

The list below contains just a few of the World History journals in the MCC collection. (Scroll down to learn how to find more.)

Note: Some of these journals write about current events. They are included here because MCC's collection contains historical volumes and issues, which allows the reader to examine topics within the historical context at the time of their publication.

Global War Studies
The leading international peer-reviewed journal dedicated to the study of the Second World War, 1919-1945.
Harvard International Review
"Offers commentary on global developments in politics, economics, business, science, technology, and culture, as well as interviews with global leaders." --Publisher
Note: MCC possesses issues dating back to 1979.
The Journal of African History
"Publishes articles and book reviews ranging widely over the African past, from ancient times to the present. Historical approaches to all time periods are welcome. The thematic range is equally broad, covering social, economic, political, cultural, and intellectual history." --Publisher
The Journal of Imperial and Commonwealth History
"Publishes works on the history of the British Empire, Commonwealth and comparative European colonial experiences, including imperial policies and decolonization." --Publisher
Journal of World History
"Features a range of comparative and cross-cultural scholarship and encourages research on forces that work their influences across cultures and civilizations." --JSTOR
The Slavonic and East European Review
"Publishes scholarly articles on all subjects related to Russia, Central and Eastern Europe — languages & linguistics, literature, art, cinema, theatre, music, history, politics, social sciences, economics, anthropology" --Publisher

World History Bulletin
"Devoted to raising interesting questions, stimulating lively debate, and engaging with all aspects of world historical scholarship including pedagogy, research, and theory. Topics may include any period or geographic focus in history." --Publisher
