Library Services for the Community

Please use this guide if you are a community member looking to use MCC's resources.

Information

Area students in elementary, intermediate, middle or high school (including homeschool) not taking any MCC or University Center classes have access to the MCC Library as guests or community members.  You may sign in as a guest at the front desk to use the computers, obtain a guest printing card for printing and copying, and do not have borrowing privileges without a TexShare card.  Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times while in the library (and elsewhere on campus).

Plan Ahead!

In order to check out books from the MCC Library, as a community member, you must first obtain a TexShare card from another participating Texas library.  If you are already a card holder in good standing at the Waco-McLennan County Library, go to any branch and fill out a TexShare card application.  Bring your TexShare card (good for one semester at a time) and a photo ID when you come to the MCC Library and you can check out 2 books at a time for 3 weeks.

In order to use our computers, bring a photo ID and check in at the circulation desk.  A library technician will escort you to a computer and log you on.

In order to print or make copies at the MCC Library, you will need to bring cash with you.  You will use the cash to purchase a community printing card ($1) and then add money to the card using the available machines.  The machines do not give change.
