MCC students, faculty, and staff have access to electronic databases that include both article citations and full-text documents. All databases may be accessed remotely using the MCC username and password. You can search within individual databases or use the search tool on the Library Services' homepage to search most of the library's databases simultaneously.

Several of the library databases contain access to full text newspaper articles.
If you need quick basic information on a topic, encyclopedias and dictionaries are a great place to start. The library has several encyclopedia and dictionaries online. For most college research papers, a general reference source will not be considered an appropriate source; however, obtaining background information remains an important part of the research process.
The Library subscribes to many online and print journals or periodicals. Use the Journal/Periodicals Guide to search for a particular journal or article. You may search by journal title, article title and subject.
The Library Search Tool is the key to finding books and eBooks in the MCC library collection. For print books a call number/shelving location is provided for each search result.
Finding books grouped together by subject area
The MCC Library uses the Library of Congress Classification System, a system that organizes books and other library materials by subject, allowing you to browse the shelves for materials on a specific topic.
You will find scholarly, peer reviewed articles in many of the library databases. When searching, select a limiter before or after you search to retrieve only scholarly articles.
