Information for Faculty

This "Information for Faculty" guide explains library services that are available to faculty, such as checking out materials, requesting library instruction, placing items on course reserves, and other helpful information.

Checking Out Library Materials

Circulating books can be loaned to faculty until the end of the semester. Renewals are available if there are no other requests pending for the item(s). Books may be renewed online, by telephone or in person. A Highlander OneCard is requested when checking books out.

Magazines and journals may not be checked out.  However, you can make copies using your ID card on the library copiers. (Please note that the individual is responsible for complying with copyright and fair use laws, including recent court rulings.)

There are some videos that have been placed on reserve by faculty for use in their classes. They are only educational in nature, and not general release movies.
