About This Research Guide

This guide was created specifically to help students in the Alternative Teacher Certification Program, and contains information related to education and teaching.

Several types of information are available through the MCC library, both in print and online.  The navigation tabs will guide you to different types of resources and to the help you need.

Websites - There are websites with good information regarding certification exam preparation, TEKS resources, and job listings.

Databases -  Find journal articles, including scholarly (peer reviewed) journal articles in the online databases.

Journals/Periodicals - View the library's education journals, or use the search boxes on this page if you are looking for a particular journal or article.

Books/E-books -  View books and e-books related to your program, or perform a search for your topic to find a good selection of print books and/or e-books. 

Writing/Citing - Get help with writing your papers and citing your sources.
