Before you jump into these sources, keep the following in mind:

1. These are just a few of the sources the Library offers. There are many other books, journals, and databases you can use. 

2. Don't know how to search a library database or a journal? That's okay! Just watch the short videos on the "Finding Library Sources" page of this guide.

3. Don't ignore the books! You do not have to read an entire book to use it for a research project. You can focus on the chapters that are most relevant to your topic.

The following databases may be good sources of articles for your presentation; enter your keywords just as you would in the library's search engine:

• ERIC database
  • ERIC (Education Resources Information Center) is sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education. It's an index of articles and materials from scholarly organizations, professional associations, research centers, policy organizations, university presses, the U.S. Department of Education, and other governmental agencies. 
• Gale OneFile: Psychology
  • Gale's OneFile: Psychology provides access to authoritative content supporting research in all fields of psychology and all areas of applied psychology.

The following journals may be good sources of articles for your presentation; enter your keywords just as you would in the library's search engine:

To find a full list of the library's journals about education:

1. Select the "Journals" tab at the top of the library search tool.
2. Change the drop-down menu (to the left of the search bar) to read "subject."
3. Search for the words "education" or "child development."

The resulting list will contain all of the library's journals on these topics.

The following journal is available in print at the Library:
