Issue-proposal Assignment
You are allowed to choose one topic from the Suggested Research Topics or Hot Topics in CQ Researcher links that Dr. Iushchenko provides for this assignment. Do not pick a topic that you previously covered in Dr. Iushchenko's class or in any other class. Construct a two-paragraph research proposal that:

Annotated-bibliography Assignment
After locating five to six credible research sources for the topic you chose for the previous assignment (above), create an annotated bibliography. An annotated bibliography is much like the works-cited page you would create at the end of your final research paper, but each reference in your alphabetized reference list is followed by additional information for each source, including:

Research-paper Assignment
Write a five to six page research paper using the topic you chose in the Issue-proposal Assignment and the sources you found for the Annotated-bibliography Assignment.
Review the Writing and Citing page of this guide for additional instructions.
Each of the assignments for this course builds on the previous assignment(s). You will first pick a topic and write a research proposal for that topic. Later, you will conduct research on that topic and use the sources you find to create an annotated bibliography. Finally, you will use the research sources you located to write a research paper on that topic.
