GENERAL QUESTIONS

What is the library's phone number? (254) 299-8325

Can I use my cell phone in the library? Please do not conduct phone conversations in the open access computer areas, study areas, or the Rotunda. Kindly respect the rights of others to study or work in a quiet environment by setting cell phone ringers to silent and doing text messaging in a quiet, non-disruptive manner. Cell phone usage is allowed in the following areas if it is not disruptive: study rooms, book stacks, restrooms, hallways, and the small lounge area outside the study rooms.

Does the library have text books? No. An instructor may place a required textbook on reserve; however, the library does not order and place on the library shelves current required textbooks.

Can you help me fill out FAFSA? Students are always welcome to do their student loan applications, etc. on the library computers. However, we are not able to assist with filling out the forms since we are not trained or qualified to do so. For help with specific questions on the FAFSA, please call or visit Financial Aid.

Why am I not able to open or view PDF files on my computer?  Make sure you have the most current version of Adobe Reader installed on your computer. If you don't have it, download it from  https://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

Is it okay to bring my children to the library? Yes, children are permitted in the library. Children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times and should not be a disturbance to other library patrons. Please consult our collection of children's books located in the shelves at PZ.

Is food allowed in the library?  Some food and beverages are allowed. Please refer to the signs in the library to see what items are permitted.

Does the library have eBooks? Yes, they are accessible for active students, faculty and staff by searching the library search tool, or in our eBook databases.

Can I download programs? No

Can I install a CD?  No

TEST PREP MATERIAL

Does the library have any material to help me prepare for the ACT,GED,SAT, NET, etc?

The library carries some test preparation materials for ACT, GED, HESI, SAT, THEA and TASP. Some of these materials can only be used in the library, please check at the Information Desk for these restrictions. The library has an online resource for test preparation material called Learning Express Library. As for other test materials not listed above, please check with the Testing services center.

•Username: First name initial, last name initial, full 7-digit MCC ID Example: jd0211111

•Your password is the same as the WebAdvisor/Brightspace password. (If you have never changed your password, use your first name initial, last name initial, and 6-digit birthdate. If you cannot remember your password, reset it here.)
