Dual Credit students receive the same library access as campus and online MCC students. You can check out books, use the computers and access library subscription databases from off-campus.
High School students not taking any MCC or University Center classes have library access as guests or community members. You may sign in as a guest at the front desk to use the computers, obtain a guest printing card for printing and copying, and do not have borrowing privileges without a TexShare card.
Plan Ahead! Highlander OneCard Required
In order to check out books from the MCC Library, you must bring your Student ID (Highlander OneCard/MAC card).
How do I get my card?
The MAC Card office is only open during regular business hours, M-F from 8-5. You have to come to campus to obtain the card because they need to take your photo for the ID. Once you start the ID process, ask for a temporary MAC card while you wait for your Highlander OneCard to arrive in the mail. Keep in mind that activating the checking account is optional and the card can just function as a student ID.
To access MCC databases off campus, enter your usual school login.
Username: first name initial (lower case) + last name initial (lower case) + Full MCC Student ID (located on your student ID card or locate here).
Example: Jane Doe (MCC ID 0120345) would be jd0120345
