How to Search the Catalog for United States History Books

Here's a quick tip for searching for United States history books in the McLennan catalog:

  1. Select "Subject - Alphabetical" from the drop-down menu below the search box for the online catalog. Use "United States history" as your search term. 

  2. The resulting list will provide you with many subject headings that have to do with American history. 

  3. Select a subject that appeals to you and browse through the books.  10 results are listed per page.  Click on the "next" button found on the bottom right side.

  4. If it is an e-book, you can read it on your screen by clicking through. If it is in the circulating or reference collection, you will need to come to the library to get that book.
