Children's Literature & Literacy

The lists below contain just a few of the children's literature, literacy, and education journals in the MCC Library. Some of the journals allow you to browse, while for others you must enter search terms. Scroll to the bottom of this page to learn how to find more journals and periodicals.

To find a full list of the library's journals on children's literature and literacy:

1. Select the "Journals" tab at the top of the library search tool.
2. Change the drop-down menu (to the left of the search bar) to read "subject."
3. Search for the words "education," "children's literature," or "literacy."

The resulting list will contain all of the library's journals on these topics.

"What the heck is a periodical?"

A periodical is a publication that is published on a regular, ongoing basis. It might be published daily, weekly, monthly, or at some other regular interval.

Journals, magazines, and newspapers are all periodicals.
