Note: You can deposit cash onto your card at the library.
The machines do not make change.

Poster Printing

Need to print a poster? Here's how it works.

  • For class assignments only.
  • It's free and the paper is provided.
  • Paper size is 48" wide and you decide the length.
  • Ask one of the technicians at the Circulation Desk to get you started.
  • It prints slowly so plan accordingly.
  • Sorry you can't drop off your project and pick up later.

What technology is available for students in the library? 

Hardware includes:
• Color printer (Student Kiosk Area)
• 5 webcams
• iPhone and Android phone chargers
• 5 printers
• 2 copiers
• 3 scanners(Student Kiosk Area)
• 1 Fax Machine-scan to pdf and email(Circulation desk)
• 6 study rooms(5 with computers)
• 192 computers(Open Lab Area and two classrooms)
• 2 Microfilm/Microfiche Reader Machines
 
Software includes:
• Adobe Reader
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Microsoft Works
• Paint
• Magnifier
• Notepad
• Windows Movie Maker
• Quick Time Player
• Windows Media Player
• Real Player
• OCR software on computer #3 (Student Kiosk Area)

Specialized Software:
• Adobe Master Collection CS6 approx. 20 computers (along the back wall near the restrooms)
• Natural Reader (text-to-speech software with natural sounding voices) installed on study room computers #1-#5 and      the wheelchair accessible computer.
 
Anti-Virus Protection
• Microsoft Forefront Endpoint

Other Technology:
• MCC offers Wireless Internet Access to currently enrolled students for their personal digital devices.
• 1 patron print-card machine for purchasing a print card and adding funds to the Highlander OneCard and patron cards     for printing.
• Highlander OneCard courtesy phone line (direct assistance) located in the student kiosk area.

Mobile Printing

Register your email:

With Mobile Print, you will be able to email in the document you want to print from any device. After that, you will be able to print to Library Printer 3. To register and use Pharos Mobile Print, you must first follow the easy steps below. Note: You can currently only use this service from on campus, while on the MCC network.

Step 1

Select an email account that you wish to use in order to send documents to print from. Open a new email and send a blank message from your email account to the following email address: pharos@students.mclennan.edu. No subject is needed.

You are ready to print!

Step 1

Once your email addresses have been registered, they will be associated with your MCC College account, and you will be able to email documents from any of them to be printed from an MCC Pharos Release Station on campus.
